Having grown up in SE Queensland, the loss of my immediate family led me to seek out my extended family. My visits to their communities, where I immersed myself in our language, traditions, cultural learnings and bush medicine, sparked a profound spiritual awakening. This connection inspired me to express these experiences through art. 

I feel incredibly fortunate to have relatives across Queensland and the Northern Territory who have embraced me, generously sharing their personal histories, stories and wisdom. 

My artwork has become a passionate medium for me to honour and continue this cultural and educational journey.
